Dr. Bloomfield treats adults with insomnia using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI). CBTI is a highly effective treatment for individuals who have difficulty falling and/or staying asleep at night, or who wish to reduce or stop taking sleep medications. It is more effective than sleeping pills and 75% of people who complete it experience significant and lasting improvements in their sleep. CBTI is on average a six-week intervention that teaches strategies to improve sleep such as relaxation techniques, changing thoughts and behaviors, and lifestyle adjustments.

Group therapy offers a low-cost opportunity to receive CBTI over the course of six to seven weeks. Participants learn CBTI strategies together and benefit from meeting and learning from others who are struggling with sleep difficulties.
